Day one of the Peoples Convention in Detroit, produced by Turning Point USA, is in the books! A packed house saw breakout sessions on getting the vote out for the November election and there were numerous conservative personalities and politicians. This evening, Mr. Ramaswamy, was a keynote speaker and he received a great a bit of attention for saying that he would definitely shut the FBI down if he had an administration.
However, as he says in the clip – we are United as Americans and should be vigilant to watch the government.
Tomorrow brings day two of the convention and of course, all attendees are anxiously awaiting President 45 Donald J Trump, as well as other featured speakers, such as Dr. Ben Carson, Marjorie Taylor-Greene, and Steve Bannon

This event will feature the most prominent names in the conservative movement, a straw poll, thousands of attendees from all 50 states, dozens of sponsoring organizations, and it is being held just prior to the July RNC Convention to nominate the president.

Austin Fashion Week
One thing is obvious from the recent Austin Fashion Week – Texas Fashion shows are more entertaining, better casted and the models showcase the designers clothes better than most anywhere I’ve seen in the United States. This year‘s fashion week was segmented into different design capsules. The first being emerging designers, then black designers, and then the final night was ode to the OG’s. It did not disappoint.
From mysterious by NPN to Swinney Fashions to Nina Means to Laura Citron- the night was full of extravagant and beautiful designs. The showstopper was the final act – Any Old Iron, a Nashville design firm that brought down the house not only with the beautiful designs fit for a Grand Ole Opry Singer, full of sequins and glitter but the models, who were given free range to present the clothes in anyway they saw fit.
