New York Fashion Week Day 1

New York Fashion Week kicked off today with Henry Zankov’s debut as artistic director of Diane von Furstenberg on the High Line. He treated the wrap dress as a concept rather than a literal silhouette—leopard-print versions, teal power suits, hot-pink wrap tops, and bold seventies-inspired chiffon—keeping the brand’s colorful sensuality while pushing it forward.
Ralph Lauren unofficially opened things the night before with an “irreverent take on romance”: navy-and-white palettes, opera gloves, shearling, and menswear tailoring for women. Front row included Viola Davis, Cynthia Erivo, Elizabeth Debicki, and Ariana DeBose.
Tommy Hilfiger followed at the Plaza Hotel with preppy All-American energy—Gigi Hadid opened, Romeo Beckham closed—while Coach celebrated its eighty-fifth anniversary and Bulgari threw a glittering Serpenti party with Dua Lipa, Anne Hathaway, and Lisa.
